Credit (Part 1 of 4)

This set of 4 videos will give you a super quick overview of the 4 C’s of Real Estate Financing: Credit, Collateral, Capital, and Capacity. Take a look! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me!!

In real estate financing, credit is the “C” that is most often talked about but often not understood. Lenders look at both your credit score and your credit history. The score (though no one actually understands the algorithms) is a quick way to get an overview of someone’s credit – a snapshot. The credit history is what causes the score to be what it is. Some items are weighted heavier (e.g. a mortgage has more influence than a credit card) and things like delinquencies, collections, and bankruptcies come into play.
